Boat Intuition   Boat Intuition is an RYA approved boating instruction school. Based in Auckland, the courses we currently run include RYA Power Boat Levels 1 and 2, VHF certificate, and own boat tuition. As small company we are very adaptable and can run courses to suit your needs. Modules:  Boat preparation Effects of wind & tide High & low speed manoeuvring  Handling in confined spaces Anchoring, moorings & coming alongside Man overboard Types of craft & engines Maintenance checks Rules & regulations Weather forecasts About Boat Intuition Boat Intuition is a small Auckland based company owned and run by Sarah Barrell.  Sarah has been sailing since she was 11, and crossed the English Channel in a 19ft yacht several times. Since then she has worked on Superyachts around the world, both power and sail, an experience she thoroughly enjoyed.  Sarah now resides in New Zealand. She is a qualified RYA Yachtmaster Instructor, as well as a Powerboat and Personal Watercraft Instructor.   In her past Sarah spent her spare time racing in Thundercats. Highly successful she has been National Champion at Thundercat Racing in both New Zealand and England. Sarah has now retired from the sport and likes to unwind by sailing her 24ft yacht on the Hauraki Gulf.
